Um, The beautiful part, and I’ve come from traditional media and we still manage traditional media buys. It’s going to be your television, radio, billboards, direct mail. I’ve done it.

We’ve done it all and we still do it all. However, 80 percent of our business is digital and it’s. For good reason. It’s because we’re all running everywhere and we all want our content the way we want it when we want it. Right. And so how do you as a business owner who specialize in a certain industry and are very knowledgeable in a certain industry, how do you take your business to market without becoming a digital marketer yourself?

In what time? If you’re growing a company, there’s a lot that goes along with it other than industry information. Right? And so I’m hopeful that I’m here today to visit with you a little bit about just understanding what kind of goes into it and what you need to be thinking about. So for digital marketing, you have OTT and connect TV.

So it’s over the top television. That’s your digital commercials on your television set. Um, these commercials can be targeted to people who are actually interested in what you’re offering them. So, like I said, people want to see content that they want to see when they want to see it. So whether I decide to binge watch a video all night long or a movie or a TV show, or I’m catching up on a webinar that I missed or.

A seminar that I wanted to go on, go to on YouTube. I want to see products, services, and content where I am when I’m watching it, no matter if it’s at 10:00 AM or 10:00 PM Well, how do you do that traditionally by day parts on television. Um, and you reach a broad scale of a market, right? Again, I still, we still work in traditional media.

However, with digital media, we can pinpoint and say these are the people we want to visit with. It doesn’t matter when we, we show this to them. We know they’re interested in this and so we’re going to give them content on this and pay for them to see it when they want to see it. Customers do not respond well, or you can’t really win a customer’s heart well, unless you have some really amazing content, but you can’t really win customer’s heart well, customer’s heart well by paying to be a commercial that they have an opportunity to skip.

It’s just not logical. Okay. So we’re talking about OTT connect TV. That’s the state of it is you want to be present when they need you. Um, digital, other digital piece of marketing is going to be your Google ads. So pay per click performance, max display, YouTube kind of mentioned YouTube earlier. Similar, very similar gone are the days of being able to build your pay per click ads to be just generalized.

You really need to, if you will, day part them or season part them so that they’re getting message. You’re getting messages out when it’s relevant. Um, you’re going to save a ton of money and optimize your ads to the nth degree. If you can take some time to strategize this and back it back up for a minute and then re approach the Um, the ads that you’re running.

Of course we can have our blanket ads running over the top, but getting in those key seasonal messaging and interest levels is going to be very vital to your bottom line. Um, so we talked about Google, we’ve talked about OTT and connect TV. Let’s dive in a little bit to meta. Meta is where you win hearts and influence minds in my opinion.

So when you’re looking at meta, that’s just. So much frequency that you can get and you can really show personality on meta. You can really connect with your customer in a way that isn’t 30 seconds. You can tell a story and create a community on social media that is unlike anything that we have seen before and definitely since.

So when it comes to your advertisement there, don’t fall away from that. You can run ads for an offer and 7, 000 rebate, whatever it is, right? Whatever your industry is or promotion of a, of an event, but don’t. Don’t miss the opportunity to gain more viewers by connecting with them with your message and who you are, um, through paid ads.
